Romain Mader’s solo exhibition, The Following is a True Story, opens today at Foam Fotografiemuseum. Earlier this year, Mader was awarded Foam’s prestigious Paul Huf Award for his photography series Ekaterina in which he weaves a fictional narrative of his own search for a bride in Ukraine. Foam Fotografiemuseum announces Romain Mader as the winner of the 2017 Paul Huf Award for his work Ekaterina. This prestigious prize is awarded annually to an up-and-coming artists under the age of 35, and juried based on a pool of 100 nominees. Previous winners of the Paul Huf Award include Daisuke Yokota (2016), Momo Okabe (2015), Daniel Gordon (2014) and Taiyo Onorato & Nico Krebs (2013). Read Foam’s announcement here.
Diane Smyth of the British Journal of Photography reports that Romain Mader has won the Foam Paul Huf Award for his photo series Ekaterina.
