Pontificating on the role of the artist in mass media, and her self-proclaimed status as a reality artist, Pierce said: “The separation of an artist’s work and an artist’s life is rapidly disappearing. We use our phones and computers to capture our lives in media, and can instantly export and broadcast that content on the Internet. The Selfridges Eye, a new editorial project focusing on individuals who challenge conventions and defy expectations, has featured Signe Pierce’s solo show Metamirrorism.
