On the occasion of Marc Lee’s third solo exhibition at ANNKA KULTYS GALLERY, the artist will be joined by Sabine Himmelsbach, Director of HEK (House of Electronic Arts), Basel, for a conversation marking the opening of the exhibition. Having known each other for more than twenty years and having collaborated on numerous exhibitions and projects in the field of media art, Lee and Himmelsbach will reflect on the development of digital and networked art practices over the past two decades.

The conversation will take place at ANNKA KULTYS GALLERY, London, in the context of the exhibition opening.

Sabine Himmelsbach is Director of HEK (House of Electronic Arts), Basel, a leading institution dedicated to contemporary art at the intersection of art, media, and technology, a position she has held since 2012. Prior to this, she served as Exhibition Director at ZKM | Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe, one of the world’s most influential centres for media art and digital culture.

Through her curatorial work, writing, and lectures, Himmelsbach has played an important role in shaping the international discourse around media art, digital culture, and the evolving relationship between art, science, and technology.

Marc Lee is a Swiss media artist whose work critically examines the cultural, social, and political implications of digital networks, artificial intelligence, and real-time data in contemporary society. Through interactive installations, immersive environments, and works driven by live internet data streams, Lee explores how digital technologies reshape perception, collective narratives, and the construction of identity in the networked age.
