Signe Pierce has unveiled a new media theory manifesto installation, Metamedia Sculpture (2017), at the Adidas Prophere launch party.
A New adidas Original: The Prophere
adidas Originals has announced a strong new silhouette, the Prophere.
The street and sportswear brand has certainly been bringing it as of late, launching radical iterations and innovative re-constructions of their classic line with impressive consistency.
But the Prophere brings a brand-new perspective, style designed in the defiant and artistic attitude of all adidas— although Prophere is adapted to an aesthetics catered to the new, and current, generation of cultural avant-gardes.
For the campaign, to truly carry over the youthful, evocative energy we experienced at the launch event last night (see below), adidas has featured a few up-and-coming creatives from the underground U.K. music scene— Benny Mails, 808 Ink, Oscar Worldpeace and J Grrey.— artists who wholly symbolize that same stylish, subcultural spirit of the new silhouette.
Last night, adidas held a launch event to celebrate, and emanate their new, provocative silhouette, Prophere. The party, in Brooklyn, featured music by Flatbush Zombies and Smooky Margielaa, and an installation by Signe Pierce.
